Lazy day...

I'm extremely lazy today and i hate it! Carson woke me up at 7:30am wanting water so up to get that for him and stayed awake for a while then started to get sleepy.. Doesnt really help when a bed is right there in front of you in the living room.. Will someone give me a boost of motivation to do SOMETHING!?! Its almost lunch time, so guess I can make something for lunch and fold more laundry... Oh, guess i should clean the fridge out too... and the top of the fridge.. Yea, guess i'll do that while its hard to get around in this "misaligned" house.. lol

By the way, I thought about having an Uppercase Living party.. Just because i love their stuff.. I want MORE stencils on my walls.. I have one in my kitchen that says.. With God, all things are possible. I love it! So if i DO have a party, will anyone come to it??? www.uppercaseliving.com if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Paint, here we come....

Our bedroom is all taped up and ready to be painted. Cant wait till we get that done! Looking forward to the outcome!! We have everything here in this computer room, except our bed is in the living room.. Thats where we slept last night, surprisingly, I was able to go to sleep. Usually I dont do well in other places/spots. I do remember waking up a few times with extreme heartburns, had it all night last night, food enzyme didn't seem to help but its gone now, so thats all i care about! We will be in Boone this weekend. Looking forward to that, but I might miss my bed. Hip(left) was hurting all weekend again.. Hope that gets better before heading to Boone. Well.. Guess I should go chill in our living room/camp-out room with Carson and do laundry and dishes at some point today.

Lord, teach my child to live by faith and be led by the Holy Spirit, having an availability to do what You tell him/her to do. May he/she be so aware of the fullness of Your Holy Spirit in him/her that when he/she is depleted in any way he/she will immediately run to You to be renewed and refreshed.

Never-ending.....

I should have went with the garage sale this weekend.. I wake up this am, opened the blinds in the kitchen, guess what i see across the street?? a garage sale! I could have had one without putting an ad in the paper.. The reason why I ended up not having one b/c i was way to late to put an ad in the paper for this weekend. I was going to put an ad in last Tuesday, well thats when the shopper comes out.. I don't know what my pregnant mind was thinking... Feel like an idiot really!! Oh well!! Not done with the set up and marking stuff so I will have to pass on that this weekend..
I'm thankful for how productive it has been lately.. Cleaned my car out yesterday.. It was pretty bad!! I don't even know when the last time it was cleaned.. Oct i believe.. Yea, it was Oct. b/c Alex cleaned it for the wedding. I cleaned out the glove box and the console in the middle, there were stuff in there from when i first got it... That was... 11th grade.. Yea, talk about full of junk! Had a full wal mart bag full of garbage just from the glove box and console.
Tomorrow is 30 weeks! I can hardly believe it!! The weeks are going by so fast for me! I keep myself busy so that has a lot to do with it.. This nesting is never-ending! I just pray to get everything done before baby comes.. I would love to be able to relax for a few weeks before baby comes. But I doubt that'll happen.. I plan on making meals that i can freeze and thaw out when baby comes.. I'll pry be busy til the day I have this baby, (i'm fine with going a few weeks early, so that could mean.. 7-9 weeks left??) At least i can relax when baby comes. :) Helped a friend last night with ripping down wall paper and painting.. It was nice hanging out with her again as she has been super busy with school.. I waited til she was done with school to start hanging out with her again.. She is finally graduating college on Sunday!!

Lord, I pray for my child to have an ever-increasing hunger for more of You. May he/she long for Your presence-long to spend time with You in prayer, praise, and worship. Give him/her a desire for the truth of Your Word and a love for Your laws and Your ways.

Graduation

First, I want to congratulate all my peers for graduating college this year! Been a quick and long 4 years!! What a great feeling that must be! I was reading some blogs and some already have pictures posted with their gown/caps on from college.. To tell you the truth, it was a disappointing/sad feeling for me.. It was an honor to graduate high school but my next goal was to graduate college.. I wanted to succeed that next step of accomplishment. I did one year of college and i kept switching around my "major" so i was really wasting time when I was at DMACC although i loved Ankeny. I would move back there if we could.. I really had NO clue what i wanted to do.. Since 5th grade, I wanted to be an O.B. nurse but once college came around, it just didn't feel right anymore and I'm very thankful for that "feeling", I have a complete different lifestyle that theres no way i could be a nurse these days.. During my first year of college, God gave me my answer to what I was made to be for the "rest of my life"... a Mother.. :) I would not trade it in for anything! So for me, being a mom is my "college degree". I must look at it that way as some ppl wish they were in my shoes as they struggle to have a child and as I envy the ones that made it through college. I've always wanted to be a mom, I just had that pressure from my family of going to college to become a "someone", well being a mom is way beyond a "someone", it is a true gift from God.. :)

I pray that You would teach my child the meaning of true friendship. Teach him/her how to be a good friend and make strong, close, lasting relationships. May each of his/her friendships always glorify You.

Beautiful Monday

This morning Carson and I relaxed and lounged around on the bed and watched tv. I have to say it was a tired morning, we stayed busy all weekend. This afternoon, went to my sister's house and got my garage sale stuff that i need to price/mark and grandma's house to get tables. I want to do little by little this week instead of being overwhelmed on Thursday and Friday right before the garage sale.. Makes it easier. Carson enjoys playing outside and in the garage as I do my thing in the garage(with a constant eye on him). In the middle of setting clothes out on tables, Carson saw his stroller was sitting out in the garage so he started begging/demanding to go on a walk so we walked around for a lil bit and walked by my aunt/uncle's house and they saw us, talked to them for a lil bit, mainly about how to use a pressure cooker(since they use theirs a lot).. LOL I borrowed a pressure cooker from a different aunt and uncle but they lost the instruction to it so they couldn't really tell me how to use it since they only used it one time a long time ago.. I got it figured out and made chicken in the pressure cooker. Made some yummy chicken quesadilla, mixed my own southwestern mix and everything.. it was GOOD.. IMO! Even Carson said... hmmm Mommy... good!! :D Alex spent all his afternoon/evening in bed.. Got off work early and hung out in bed when he got home.. dealing with a sore throat and feels miserable... hope i don't get anything! So yea, it was just Carson and I all afternoon.. We drove my dads truck"papa's truck" to get the tables and garage sale stuff, he loved that.. as he got to sit by the window with the window all the way down.. I have to say.. it was a good day.. although my feet are killing me... but my good night sleep will take care of that..

Mushroom hunting...

No, i do NOT eat mushrooms... YUCK! But here in a little bit when my sister gets here, we are mushroom hunting.. that'll be an interesting adventure for me as its been YEARS since I've gone mushroom hunting.. I'll probably give mushrooms to some family members if they want some and sell some.. I don't know yet.. we'll see how i do this year.. We brought some stuff down from the attic, my main reason to go up there was to look for my maternity clothes.. i cant find them anywhere.. :( Maybe i left them at mom's house but surely don't think i did.. I think it is in one of the baby clothes boxes in the attic.. We may not have looked hard enough.. Such a bummer tho! And we cleaned the garage out too today.. vacuumed up all the dirt and spiderwebs on the wall... Glad to get that accomplished this weekend.. This week, I will be getting stuff together for the garage sale this coming weekend.. Then the weekend after that, we are going to Boone and hang out with the bro/sis in law and 2 nieces.. Another garage sale weekend for me with SIL.. That'll be fun for all of us.. Carson will be excited to play with cousin Jaz.

Friday

Been a few days since i've been on here to blog.. Nothing new around here really.. Went to 2 garage sales today.. the 2nd garage sale had TONS of stamps/scrapbooking stuff.. too tempting to buy it all!! But ended up with a few stamps, a really cool black leather Fossil purse thats big enough to use as a diaper bag, a potato/onion box thing(what you call that?) and got a book called, Unleash the Inner Healing Power of Foods... Not sure how much I'll agree with it but it was only $1 so why not!? If i don't like it, i can always put it in a garage sale or give it to someone.. I think I'm slowing becoming a garage sale freak.. I used to be not like them but you can actually find some really cool stuff if you find the right place.. I HATE HATE the garage sales where they sell OLD junk from the 70's or 80's.. seriously.. that stuff needs to be pitched! I hope my mom reads this.. LOL Guess its good for the Storybook and OCT(oskaloosa community theater) organizations as they have plays based on the old days.. but yea, won't see anything in my house thats that old.. I'm too picky!
On a different note, I finally went thru my wedding stuff.. I kept almost ALL receipts on everything we bought for our wedding/reception stuff.. I added up to $4100.. I'm not sure if thats a lot or reasonable for a small ceremony we had?? But at least its a once in a lifetime thing.. I don't think I'll ever plan a wedding again! I'll do it the easy way next time(courthouse and out to eat).. but that is if..... i don't want to say it but i will so you can understand what i mean... death do us part.. Although I would love to help my friends and my sister plan their wedding.. No, my sister is not getting married at the moment but i am saving all our wedding stuff for her.. Gotta help my parents save money!!
