2009

Well.. I'm sad that 2008 is leaving, just b/c it was a big year for all of us, we had a new baby, we did our first homebirth, our baby boy turned 3, we celebrated our first year anniversary, hubby and I did something new this year to build our marriage/relationship stronger, and created lots of good memories with our kids..Although I am looking forward to 2009 as I have some big new years resolutions to make.. I will post the goals later, I'm still thinking about them but the 2 biggest ones I have in mind right now is... reach my goal weight and start getting up 5-6am to have ME time and do housework while my kids are asleep. Also LESS computer time is a goal but I may have a hard time with that as the computer is my escape zone, but it is something i need to do so I can start preschool with Carson and more play time with my kids. I will make a list and post it on here! I am trying to decide if I should do what Katy is working on.. 101 goals in 1001 days.. I may just end up making a list for 2009 and do my best to accomplish them.. Still thinking!!! If anyone makes a list of goals for 2009, please let me know.. I'd love to read your goals! I promise I'll post my list sometime, i just need to sit down and think about them and write them down.. Also want to make a goal list with Alex and I for BOTH of us to accomplish together.. (i.e. pay off our debt together, make progress on our future home and so on... )

Happy New Year!!

I had to share!!

A distant relative(its my grandma's aunts great grandson.. get that? lol.) found me on facebook today. I checked my email and saw that i had a message from J.D.B and I had to think for a second there... "J....B...., who is that? Oh, i remember him! Wow, he found me, wonder what he's up to!?!" Its been YEARS since I've seen him.. He is deaf too... :) He has a cochlear implant as well and I knew he went to school for meteorologist and on his facebook acct, there is a link for deaf weather so i clicked on it, thinking oh thats cool, never seen that before.. It was HIM doing the weather in sign language.. How NEAT! I still cant get over it! He is the only deaf person in the nation doing the weather in sign language..

Check it out!

Can't wait for Christmas!

Christmas Traditions
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both
2. Real tree or Artificial? REAL = more Christmas(y)
3. When do you put up the tree? Usually the weekend after Thanksgiving but this year was a lil bit late since we had to wait for the snow to dry off the tree in the garage for a few days..
4. When do you take the tree down? Hmm I guess whenever I feel like it needs to go, probably during the first week of the new year
5. Do you like eggnog? occasionally.. depends on my mood
6. Favorite gift received as a child? hmmm I cant really pinpoint at ONE present.. My sister and I got a trampoline one year and we were pretty excited about that.. My sister slept on the couch the night before Christmas so she can see what was under the tree, she saw the trampoline in the early wee hours of Christmas morning and started jumping up and down and screaming in excitement... I'm sure that was an interesting wake up call for mom and dad.. :) Oh yea, i just remembered! My cross diamond ring, I dont wear it anymore but I'll always keep that! My sister, just recently, asked if she can have/wear it for a while.. Heck no!!
8. Easiest person to buy for? my kids
9. Do You have a nativity scene? I don't! :(
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail but I did email a few this year
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? umm oh yea, this monkey i was scared of for years! I swore I heard it talk as I opened it, and ran away and my mom followed me into a corner with the monkey at Gma's house on Christmas Eve.. we have a picture of it that will explain it all.. Obviously they had no idea what was running through my mind..
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I dont have one
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually after Thanksgiving but next year I'm starting in July!
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? I'm sure I have!
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Dont really have a favorite.. My grandmas homemade apple pie is yummy but i dont eat it anymore til after I discover what she does with the apples before putting it in the pie.. she cooks it in the microwave... that just ruins it all for me! :(
16. Lights on the tree? This year is white and blue lights.. Next year will probably be just white as we are going to do a new color theme..
17. Favorite Christmas song? Dont have one..
18. Travel for Christmas or stay home? Well everyone is here in town, except for a few of Alex's grandparents thats out of town but i'd love to travel out of state for Christmas.. maybe WE can move out of state and come home for Christmas?? Unfortunately, Alex is not up to moving out of state/town.. I brought it up a few times recently.. I wont win that one for a while..
19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeers? Umm Rudolph, Dasher, Prancer(?), ummm.. I dunno! Nope, guess I cant!
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Eve with my extended family, parents and sister and morning with my kids and hubby and with hubby's family..
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? All the projects/wrapping/shopping to do at the last minute.. Like i said, i'm starting in July next year!
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Its been blue and silver for the past 3 years but next Christmas will be different.. Just for a change......
24. Favorite Christmas dinner? Dont have one.. My gma makes chili and oyster soup every year, I never liked chili til last year when I was pregnant with Kylie. Oyster soup, i will never touch!
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? well I've already got my mixer.. Hmm probably gift cards so I can get what i want.. Which is new clothes, stuff for my hobbies/DIY projects, a few things here and there that I could benefit from..

House and Prayers

I keep thinking about our future home and the land that i want hasn't sold yet.. I'm starting to wonder if that land is meant to be for us.. :) I seriously thought it'd be sold by now.. its at a perfect location(in my opinion; still waiting on God's opinion or if he has something better for us).. its exactly what i want.. on the west side of town, on paved road and just right outside of city limit.. I asked Alex if we qualify for a loan, he is not sure, but I'm seriously considering it even more now.. I have been praying for direction/guidance.. I needed Him to lead/tell us what we should do.. I'm still not sure what His answer is but I've been sitting back patiently and waiting for something to happen.. Over the weekend when Alex was with his brother Ben, Alex came home telling me about something else he wants to do with our dream house, i think its a great idea and it gets us excited thinking about our future home. We talked about it on our way to and from Des Moines last night, not sure if we've ever been this serious about building a house before. Maybe b/c its more possible now after Alex's unexpected pay raise. We are taking this one day at a time and see where each day takes us as our house keeps getting smaller and smaller on us but surprisingly I don't complain as much as I used to.. maybe my patience will pay itself off.. :)

BUT no more kids(unless God decides to use His sense of humor and surprise us) til we have a bigger place, I'd love to have our dream home done before I have the next child so I can birth the rest of our kids in our permanent home. The less children, the easier it is to get your dream home! Right??

As I typed this, i glanced over to our parent prayer flip book sitting at the computer, here is what it says and this is for the day of Jan. 24th.. lol not sure why the date is way off.. :)

"Through His Word, God guides us, speaks to us, and reminds us He is faithful. In that way, He builds faith in our hearts and enables us to understand His heart. This helps us to pray boldly in faith, knowing exactly what His truth, His will, and our authority."

Just what I needed to hear/read.. :)

Video of Carson and Kylie

..i love my husband..

I think he enjoys spoiling me.. He carried that tradition down from my dad.. ;) I'm fine with it!! AND I must say thankful for some wonderful men(dad, alex and carson) in my life too..

I've been thinking how nice it would to have one of these... and I finally got one! Alex decided to give me my Christmas present early this year since he cant handle the wait and he got an awesome deal on it so he couldn't pass it up.. Good job Alex!!!!

On A Mission

like always! Today I am hoping to get STUFF done.. Yesterday and the day before that I had a cranky baby who wouldn't settle for her bouncer or playing with her turtle mat so she was held almost the whole time except during nap time. Which reminds me, I either need a new sling or make one. The one I have now made a trip in the washer so I was without a sling for a few hours and Miss Kylie sure gets heavy after holding her for a while.. She is already in the 17-18lb range, I will have to weigh her soon to be more exact on the numbers.

I have:
*diapers to cut/assemble... need to start saving $$ around here so doing cloth diapers again will help save money.
*wrap presents, i haven't even started!! *sigh* any helpers??
*vacuum the floor(first go get my vacuum from dads house)
*work on some Christmas projects which I cant announce on here.. :)
*Get the perfect picture taken for Christmas cards..
*Do some more Christmas shopping

All I'm doing is overwhelming myself by listing off what I need to do, feels like crunch time, well it pretty much is when you have to balance your time out between kids/housework/me-time to do projects.. So what am I doing on here?! I dunno..

Just to let ya know......

I will miss reading your blogs out there.. We are currently staying at my dads house as Alex and the plumber get the sewer stuff taken care at home.. Sucks that we cant stay at home.. Alex says to air the house out for a week, i think i'll be changing that week down to a few days.. We'll see!! Pray for us as we get it all taken care of and pray that we will survive our stay at dads house. Dad is currently out on a business trip, but its the whole not around MY stuff, nor at MY house. I'll miss everything at my house! No internet at dads house so I'll be MIA for a few days, unless I make another trip to my sister's house..

So text me instead of emailing me.. I hope to get to some sewing while I'm at dads house.. Also plan on keeping myself busy with other stuff...

Leg Warmers

I got to sew 2 pairs of leg warmers today!! They are so easy to make! They look a little bit silly on Carson but they are great for the days when we don't leave the house AND for under his pants on the cold days. I was happy to get SOME sewing done today, still have quite a bit of stuff I'd love to sew..

I also wanted to note on the previous post.. It wasn't a complain post/blog. As much as I love being a mom, I do have those days when I wonder if I'll ever get a break and finish a project. Its much easier to read blogs over a D.I.Y project, since the kids can sit on my lap while I read and TRY to type too.. But don't get me wrong, I love being a mom and love my kids very much, I'm proud to be their mom.

As you noticed on the picture above, Kylie can now sit(not straight up, more of a 45° angle) on her own with support(pillows around her), today was the first time without any support and she sat like that for about a minute or so! Getting so big! She can also roll.. *sigh* Sometimes I just wish my babies can just stay little!!

oh yea, cant you tell that Carson and Kylie look alike!?! That's why I have that picture(2nd pic down) up of them.. Can't tell me they don't look like brother and sisters!

Battery-Operated Mom

Ever feel like you are on the go all day long? Ever feel like you are ready to crash during the evenings and know you cant yet b/c you still have kids to take care of and cook supper/clean up? Sleep time is when you are recharging your batteries and then when you wake up with either fully or half charged batteries in the morning, and back to the same thing, on the go all day long tending to your kids and house.

This is exactly how i feel!!! Battery-Operated Mom
All I want to do is SEW.. Been wanting to get to it since Sunday and haven't even got to touch the sewing machine yet.. During my free time at late night, I'm too tired to do anything except SIT comfortably and watch TV. *sigh* I hope to find free time soon to do some sewing when I'm not tired..

And in case if you are wondering, yes, my husband does help me when he's home. He is actually is a great help around here, something I'm thankful for!

Note: I ate my breakfast as I typed this, so no, blogging wasn't really my free time.. And Carson is sitting behind me coloring and saying.. "Mommy, sit here!" as he pats the floor showing me where to sit.

Have a good snowy day!!

Crazy Goals

Me:
Hey, you know what I wanna do before I die?
Alex: Umm, catch up with my parents??
Me: (insert sarcastic laugh) ha.ha.ha.....
Me: No, be in the demolition derby and fly somewhere..
Alex: You've never flown anywhere?
Me: Well, yes and no, mom and dad got a plane for the day and we just flew around but I was too little to realize i was flying, i remember it, but didn't have any fears. I want to fly somewhere to overcome that fear of flying.

Then Alex goes on talking about how he wants to go gliding in a glider.. That I wont even bother with!

I hope to accomplish those goals in the next 2-5 years. I hope to get my sister and cousins together for the derby's, i know they would LOVE that! Even my mom would do it if she didn't have back problems, and I'm sure a few aunts would love to do it as well. We are all the crazy adventurous type of girls, except I've REALLY mellowed out after I've had kids, I'm kinda scared to do some stuff that I used to be able to do before kids, I think its the thought of a freak accident happening and leaving my kids behind, not worth it! However, the derby is still on my list!

Anyone have any 'crazy' goals set for themselves that you want to accomplish? Of course I have other goals but the 2 listed above are the most craziest goals I have. Yes, flying is in my "crazy" category, it scares me! Its the whole, not having any control of the airplane and being WAY up in the air and so on....

Homemade Leg Warmers

I CANNOT wait to do this!! I love doing easy simple sewing projects! I am definitely buying socks next time I go shopping! This will be perfect for Kylie!! I may have to make some for Carson for those days we don't plan on leaving the house.. He gets cold easily but doesn't even complain about it.. Crazy boy! Thank you Traci for texting me about this..

Check it out!!

BABY LEG WARMERS

I'll do my best to post pictures of it on Kylie when I make 'em. Maybe I'll do it THIS weekend as I have a few other sewing projects to do as Christmas gifts. We are hoping to work on the bathroom this weekend so we'll see how far I/we get! Unfortunately, weekends usually fly by!

Let me tell you why....

I keep getting screwed!! Its not b/c I'm married to a Doak! :P Tonight, without thinking ahead about it, my status says... "Chelsea keeps getting screwed" and got some comments about that.. I'll let you use your imagination if you haven't seen my facebook status comments.. Silly people!
There's 3 reason for it that all happened within a week...

Last Wednesday.. I received a letter in the mail saying that these ppl overpaid me.. Well.. I won't pay them back and its their fault so I'm requesting an appeal at that.. Something i really dont feel like dealing with, but something has to be done before i get in trouble for it.

Last Friday.. A lady came to my door and hands me a free bottle of this air freshner thing and said(something like this) hello, we are getting to know our neighbors since we are opening a "store" here in town, would you be interested in a free carpet stain removal.. I said no, my hubby has a carpet extractor and dont need it done, then she said how about free stain removal on your furniture? i said well it has some fuzz stuck on there... oh, can i see it? she asks.. I'm thinking... well since you are a LADY, i guess you can.. she takes a peek.. oh, i can get that, let me go out and get my stuff, i'll be right back.. well... how long will it take i ask....oh not very long! i said ok.. Thinking they can use me as a referral for their new "store" they are opening in town.. she comes back in with a BIG vacuum box and a guy behind her with box in his hand as well... I'm thinking, great! what did i just get myself into!?! This lady introduce me to this guy....... and then she LEAVES and leaves the guy here with just me and my kids!! Oh My Gosh!! I say my prayers under my breath! I ask, so where is this store going to be at?? He couldnt give me a direct answer.. I knew i had just got sucked into some scam type of thing where they are actually trying to SELL me a freaking Kirby vacuum, there aint no store opening here in town.. The ecomony sucks right now, who in the heck would open a new store in cheap O-town!?! I'm thinking... he's gonna be here forever and I have NO money to buy this vacuum so what do i do!?! Anyway.......... this could be a 5 page long story, so i'll just do my best to sum it up for you to get the picture.. They(another guy came over later on) obviously couldnt get "i cant afford this vacuum" as a NO, i will not be buying a vacuum from you guys.. Finally just to weed the ppl out of here, they offered to leave the vacuum for 5 business days and Alex and i can decide what to do from there.. I knew what Alex's answer was gonna be but they kept trying and trying and trying to talk me into buying this vacuum.. This was a contest going on with these dealers trying to win a trip to Las Vegas... I didnt realize this til they were getting ready to leave when they mentioned it.. Sooooo, i decided(going against my gut feelings) to just sign a paper and in order to do this, they have to do a credit check....... I'm thinking, this is the only way i can weed them out of my house so i did it.. KNOWING i WILL be cancelling this and telling them to come back to pick up the vacuum.. I must say i was impressed with this vacuum but i sure aint gonna pay $2,000 and something for a VACUUM.. I dont think so! I'm sure a Dyson will do just as good!! Well.......alex comes home.. he sees these papers i signed and wondering what this is and so i explained(doing my best not to cry, but failed at that) and he wanted a phone number, earlier i had a paper with a number on it.. but i couldnt find it!! i swear this guy took the papers with him so we dont have a way of calling them to cancel the service! i was PO'ed!! Then i remembered that guy wrote a number in the manuel and I gave it to alex, which he was already on the phone with the company, found a number online... Luckily for me, he took care of it and comforted me and my frazzled nerves.. I felt so LOW, used, upset........ you fill in the blank.. I couldnt get rid of that feeling for the rest of the night.. It was a horrible feeling! Almost like I had no value of myself, someone had just took advantage of me and wasted TWO HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES of my afternoon that i had planned to play with my kids. I was soo upset! I must say.. i learned a lesson! Dont trust ANYONE at your door, even a LADY.. I think this is why they USED A LADY, so ppl will FALL FOR IT! *disgusted* this is NOT the whole story, like i said.. it'd be 5 pages long if i gave you all the details and i dont feel like refreshing my memory about it.. trying to forget it even happened!! My window on my door is now blocked with a dark peice of fabric so no one can look in and next step is to buy/find a No Solicitors sticker for my door.. :D

Today(Wednesday).. about 3 weeks ago or so.. I posted my Arbonne stuff on Craigslist, I'm no longer in the business after discovering some hidden truths about the business, i decided to get out of it and get rid of my stuff.. I was hoping someone would buy it... I get an email today about someone asking me to call them about my Arbonne stuff.. I'm thinking, YES!! finally $$ coming in to help Alex out with the bills and Christmas money.. Thinking, the Lord is great! He answered my prayers... Instead... this is what i get..... (this is the actual email between us.. Alex got involved at the end.. :))

Please call me regarding. Thanks.

Hello,
I wanted to let you know that my Arbonne products is still available if you are interested. Due to my deafness, may we email?? Or I can have my husband call you if you dont mind.
Thank you!
Chelsea
*****************************************
Actually, I am not interested in the Arbonne products, but my business partner have been reaching out to a bunch of people we see on CL who are "dumping" Arbonne products...getting out tf the business. I know they are phenomenal products, but they are a bit pricey, especially in today's economic crisis. We are involved in a consumer direct marketing company, not a MLM that carries essential poducts that people are already using on a daily basis...we hve a reorder rate of 95%! We don't have inventory, nor we do stock, sell, deliver or ship products.
Are you open minded to looking at another business? I would love to share it with you. Thanks.

****************************************************************
Karen, here is an exerpt from the bottom of every Craigslist ad (unless otherwise specified):

*it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests

Your e-mail is asking me to direct my interest towards something other than selling my product, which is a misuse of Craigslist on your part. Please do not e-mail anybody unless you are interested in the product. I am not interested in anything else. Thank you.

Alex Doak

Gosh.. what a week! I asked Alex if this was God's way of telling me to sue ppl and win some money and build a house and live happily ever after?? Haha.. thats wishful thinking!

But seriously... where would i be without Alex?!?

Getting screwed even more.. LOL I hope that gives you a laugh!!

No i mean screwed as........ ppl trying to screw me over........ not actually...... ya know..... no need for me to explain.. yes, i married a Doak but i dont mean it that way.. :P

Thanks for letting me explain why my facebook status says this....... from now on.. I will be thinking AHEAD!! ;)

One Year Ago....

*Miss Kylie sucking her thumb*

Nov. 1st 2007, my mother-in-law ordered a root beer with her supper at a local coffee shop, and I thought, hmm that sounds good! I got myself one and I NEVER drink root beer, so I thought, hmmm... pregnant? Theres no way I can tell yet, time will tell!! I'm sure my mother in law was wondering too but didnt say anything. ;) On Nov. 11th, I was sick.. this was probably the 10th day in a row that I've been sick. I started to wonder if i was pregnant, took the test that evening and the 2nd line was VERY vague, almost didn't exist. I took a picture of the test and emailed my sister in law Traci about it and asked her what she thought.. She texts me back later and said.. I think its a BIG FAT positive! 2nd text says... Congrats, and....(I'll just leave it at that).. Do you remember what you said Traci?? :P I was still skeptical about this... I decided to wait a few more days and take it again.. Nov. 12th was my birthday and decided to wait the next day to take the test.. I must not have wanted a negative test as a birthday present for myself... ?? So, the 13th rolls around... I took the test again in the morning after Carson and I woke up and waited patiently for the results and had the test set up on the cupboard above the toilet, i just couldn't stand over it and watched it, the anticipation kills me.. I kept myself busy during those 3 minutes.. I nervously go to the bathroom and see what it came out to be.... POSITIVE!!! Oh, it was so awesome to see a positive pregnancy test for the first time on a home pregnancy test. I'll never forget that feeling, I know i had a big smile on my face and no one to smile to! lol I told Carson right away that Mommy was having a baby, of course he didnt understand this right away. With Carson, i found out through other places, not at home or on my own. Traci was on MSN and we were talking about how i took the test again and she goes... and??? i said negative... she didnt fall for it.. :)... Alex also happened to be on MSN too as well.. I couldnt hold it in, i was too excited so I told him through MSN.. haha... Next time, I hope to do a better job of holding it in and surprise him.. I think he had a feeling i was pregnant anyway, it just confirmed his suspicion. We all kept it a secret from family til Thanksgiving.. I'd say it was a surprise for most family members.. I still remember everyones reaction like it was last week. I knew Kylie's pregnancy was going to be different from Carson's pregnancy as I was planning a homebirth., no ultrasounds to prevent the risk of miscarriage/growth problems/complications, prenatal care on my own, change of diet, and etc. I was very excited to finally experience this with months of researching before Kylie was even concieved, I KNEW what I wanted for my future pregnancies and births. Thanks to my 2 sister in laws and a dear friend for introducing me into this, something i would have never considered if it weren't for you guys! Today, Kylie is 4 months on her mama's 23rd bday! I just love having her, yes I do love having a girl after i was convinced i was pregnant with a boy! Her personality reminds me of Carson at times. She's been a WONDERFUL addition to the family. God really does know what He's doing!

busy and unmotivated

I've been unmotivated to post a blog lately.. Sorry readers! 2 kids is a BIG adjustment from one kid so they keep me busy and i usually get distracted/interrupted when I'm on the computer so blogging has been on the bottom of my list. I have tons of pictures I'd love to post on here but takes too much time to do that.. lol I plan on taking fall pictures of the kids soon! I was going to do it last Wed. I had Carson sit on the ground and hold Kylie, i get my camera ready to take the picture, it wouldnt take a picture, looked at the camera and it says, "change the battery" on the screen.. I hate it when that stuff happens to me! So, since i only have one battery for the camera, we had to charge that up and I never got back on that yet. We've been taking advantage of the great weather lately, another reason why i havent blogged.. If you dont already know this, fall is my favorite season! I LOVE the colors of fall, the weather(just perfect for jeans and sweatshirt), and the fall food and drinks! I'm glad I had a fall wedding, it was windy with a chilly breeze but I still loved the way it looked outside..
Its been hard getting to finish stuff lately.. I still have diapers to make for Kylie and have not started that yet, need to clean the garage out, and do some sewing projects.. Thankfully, dishes, laundry, and tidy doesnt get ahead of me.. At least i get something done everyday.. Kylie is in her bouncer next to me as i rock her with my foot, she's ready to go to sleep, off to feed her and put her back in bed and hopefully accomplish something today! Have a great one!

I just thought of a really cool idea....... well first let me mention, Alex asked me what I wanted as a gift and I couldn't think of anything, later on into the evening I asked Alex for pretty flowers as an anniversary gift, I don't really want anything but flowers would be nice since its been a long time since I've got flowers and it'll look nice on the table! I was thinking about flowers and our rings since I wanted to do something special... it clicked to me... Alex and I will take a picture of our hands with our wedding rings over the flower he gets me on our anniversary every year and watch our hands *cough* age *cough* as the years go by.. I love that idea!! Someday our kids can look at that and hopefully we will set an example for them!

Freebirthing

I just got done watching that show.. and there were few parts I did NOT agree with at all.. I could vent about it all night... but... umm.. I'm the type that likes to stay away from drama.. I tend to get dramatic about stuff I'm passionate about.. unassisted childbirth, I'm very passionate about it nowadays.. We didn't need ANY intervention to conceive a baby, so why would i need intervention to give birth to a baby.. Why not keep the beginning and ending process between husband and wife?? I see this whole process as an intimate thing! God made women to carry and birth babies the natural way. Ok, so about this Heather girl from Colorado Springs who happens to be my age, she went to the hospital after an uc, b/c the placenta hasnt birthed itself within a few hours after childbirth, all she needed to do was W.A.I.T!! It can take HOURS or even a FEW DAYS to birth a placenta.. And on top of this, she gets treated like a bad person for having a baby at home and gets cps called on her!! ohhhh that makes my blood boil!! Read more about it here. They did change things around on the show and i got the impression that they were favoring hospital births more than homebirths.. Just wait til we get a REAL video of what uc is about!! And of course doctors are gonna say having an uc is such a dangerous thing... umm no.. they are just *threatened* that uc will take over and they will lose their jobs.. Yes, there are some high risk pregnancies that may require a doctor but the question is... what makes them in a high risk position in the first place!?!? I have my opinions, but i wont mention them.. I guess i did get a bit dramatic about this when i said i wouldnt.. I'm sorry but it really does bother me along with a few things i want to blog about soo bad but I'll wait for the right timing for that. I really dont want to offend ppl when it comes to my personal blogs like this(if it does, please dont read my blog and at the same time I dont want to have to make this a private access page), but i do want to make a "wake-up call"(i finally got this after a few years of being closed-minded and stubborn-ness) for others out there who don't question these things like i do. On one of my blog friends, she has the quote that i agree with, i was once in that position b/c i was raised to do what everyone else does/did and i was clueless!!
Uneducated people do what they are told, educated people question what they are told.
Ok its time for me to go to bed.. Have a good one!

Busy.......

The title says it all.. extra busy i should say.. This is why i have not been blogging in a while. I had a garage sale over the weekend.. that went good, except i still have a lot of stuff left.. Lots of stuff is going out to local donation places and craigslist. No more dealing with crap sitting around in garage waiting for a garage sale! I also went thru the whole house de-cluttering our junk so it feels good that i got that accomplished. I still feel overwhelmed with this weeks to-do list, have a million things sitting on countertop waiting to be put away, clean garage and sort everything, laundry, dishes and have a baby girl that prefers me over anyone else on top of everything so this slows me down, and been more tired lately.. oh, AND for some reason... Carson decided to start peeing in his undies/pants, he's been on the computer playing games more lately so I think this may be a problem with him peeing in pants, too distracted to go to the toilet? or maybe its something else that's causing a blockage between bladder and mind, i dunno, but i dont like it...computer time is now limited for him.

to sum it up.. i'm ready to relax!!! My birthday is coming up in Nov, all i want to do is RELAX for the day, but i dont think this is possible when my mind doesnt know how to do this, no matter how hard i try to relax, my mind is always thinking about what needs to be done, wondering if the kids are okay, should i go help alex, and etc.. I NEED A NOTHING BOX!! I'm going to be the big TWENTY-THREE, I feel like i'm getting old already.... I just hope/pray that i wont be sick this year, the last 2 years on my bday, i've been sick.. 21st bday, we all had the flu, and 22nd bday was... umm.. i couldnt tell you what i was sick with, yes, i was pregnant but i really dont think it was anything pregnancy related.. I was thinking maybe food poisoning? we are talking.. high temperature, bowel blockage, could barely lift 5 pounds, only able to eat ONE small pizza slice(thats VERY unusual), then all that led to bad cough, short of breath for 10+ days... pregnancy related? i doubt it.. i'll find out when i'm pregnant with a girl again.. (IF i have another girl)

I have some videos of Carson that i will upload sometime when i have more time. So maybe on the next post, there will be videos. *maybe*

ok i'm tired, its been a long weekend! Off to bed! Have a great week!

my first tagged game

I've been tagged by Kristi to list 7 weird/random things about myself.

1.) I scrub my kids clothes, even a lil spot of ketchup, it makes a trip to the sink waiting to be scrubbed. I even scrub all of Kylie's clothes that she had a blow-out/explosion in..

2.) I eat my pizza with ranch dressing. (Alex came up with this one as weird/random)

3.) I gave birth to my baby girl squatted over the toilet at home.

4.) I've NEVER memorized the lyrics to a FULL song..

5.) I love having my peace and quiet time with my CI(cochlear implant) turned off or off my head. Complete silence!

6.) I've had at least 5, maybe more, surgeries done on me. This was back in the old days.. ;)

7.) I have a CNA(certified nursing assistant) certificate but wont bother using it!

Now I must tag others to share some random information of themselves as well:
Cori
Alex
Katy
Heather

You HAVE to put this on your calendar!!

New show on Discovery Health on the 21st of Oct. I will be recording this on the DVR!!! Check it out here.... Freebirthing Show... Do NOT roll your eyes, you really should check it out! Its an awesome experience and will be doing it with the rest of my babies(if i have more)...

I Believe.....

That birth is inherently safe. The same loving, intelligent consciousness (All That Is, Goddess, God, Nature) that knows how to grow an egg and a sperm into a human being, knows how to get it out. Our job is simply to relax and trust. Birth is not a function of the conscious mind any more than digestion is.

I Believe.....

That the problems women sometimes encounter in birth can be traced to three main causes:

Poverty - lack of food and poor living conditions
    Outside interference
    - doctors and sometimes midwives poking, prodding, testing, drugging, cutting, etc.
Inside interference - primarily fear which triggers the fight/flight response and shuts down labor, but also shame and guilt
When these factors are eliminated, most women can give birth easily, either alone or with friends and family.

I Believe.....

That our bodies and our babies are responsive to our thoughts. The best way to ensure a good pregnancy and birth is to think positively, face and overcome our fears, and believe in our own abilities.

Toughy...

If a Christian votes for Obama, does that mean they automatically become pro-choice??

In my opinion, YES!!

According to my very brief research, Obama is an advocate for the roe vs. wade case. Another thing I found.. is... Obama IS pro-choice, read it here.. This is probably already out in the known, as I don't watch anything on tv or research about the candidates, so I wanted to know for sure! Those poor babies that has to go thru that! They were created for a REASON!! Anyone ever heard of ADOPTION over abortion!?

I cant wait!

Since I have to wait for the movie, Fireproof, to come out on DVD instead of the theater, due to no subtitles or captions.. Why do they do this!? So anyway, i can at least read a book til I patiently wait for the movie to come out(end of January?).. I'm NOT a movie person but I sure cant wait to see this one! This book is... The Love Dare.. Check it out!!

100th post!!!

I cant even remember when i started this blog site...?? I'll have to look.. But i added a new application on my blog site. Its called... Feedjit(I think thats right!) It tracks the locations that views my blog but i noticed some repeated same towns/states and i have no clue who it is! I'm happy that there's people enjoying(i hope) my postings. I hope that I am helping others by viewing my sites on the right column of my page instead of offending some. If it offends you, not comfortable with it, or not open-minded about it, do not read it. I dont want to be judged at all by my lifestyle, although i do get this but I pray that those particular people will become open minded and supportive/respectful of our lifestyle/choices. I feel like those ppl that are this way, they feel... threatened(?), not wanting a reality check(?) or not wanting to change their ways? It really isnt that hard of a change, its all educated changes.. and for the best!
On a different note, I made more diaper patterns last night to try out!! I cant wait to get started on making diapers! Also ordered stuff online that i need to make these diapers differently. I had about 7 people email me about the diapers I posted on craigslist and they want to see pictures of the ones i will be making, so this is potential business waiting to happen.. :) I'm excited!! I'm excited to be able to have my OWN money in my pocket, not having to ask Alex for money and wanting to help Alex out with the bills too as well.. I'm praying we get that land!!! Sounds like we will be putting the house on the market as soon as we finish up our work around here. Which shouldnt be that bad.. just paint the rooms that havent been painted yet, install shelves in bathroom "closet" and new walls in garage.. Even if we dont get the land, we are still wanting out of here.. Dont think we are trying to sell this house to get that land..I cant wait!! Again, I'm praying this house sells quick but we'll see!! I just hope theres someone out there looking for a small house or wanting to downsize this house. We need your prayers!

Land....

We went to go see the land site yesterday... I WANT IT!! The WHOLE 5.5 acres will be GREAT with me.. Even Alex wants it all, current owner is willing to split into 2 acres.. Pray for us please!! I told Alex... lets put the house on the market and rent a bigger house and split rent $$ with my dad, the duplex he lives in is transferring to a new owner and not really wanting to sign a lease with new owners, he is only home 2 weeks out of the month so its not really going to a big deal sharing a house with him, he'll just need a place to stay when he's home from business trips and a place for his stuff.. I think we will consider renting a house(its cheaper than our current house payment and helps us save $$ to build someday) after this house is sold.. I'm going to be praying about this and let God lead us where we should be going/doing..... I hope His plan is the plan I have in mind.. ;) we'll see!!!

Stuck...

I just don't know what to do........ this sucks! We're stuck in this small house not knowing what to do from here. We know we want to be out of this house but where to!? do we buy a bigger house or should we go ahead and put an offer on the land that I would like to be located at and build after saving up for a few years, but that does mean staying here til we can save up.. Alex seems to be about ready to lose his patience with this house... which is weird b/c he is only here half the time I'm here.. You'd think it'd be the other way around huh? Its been going ok so far in this house.. we do want more space.. I just need to get a shelf system for around the house to make it less stressful in here.. For example, this computer room, i have a big box of books in here waiting for SOMEONE to build me a bookcase... that someone is my hubby.. I asked for a bookcase for mothers day.. and we have like 6 totes of toys on floor that could use a shelf... Wall shelfs would be nice too for random stuff.. I'd love to have a room just for hobby stuff and computer room... I know how I want my future home to be built(picture above with a few changes to make, I'll have to hire my bro-in-law for that!) I'm just waiting for the right timing to come.. Sooo anyone with good advice? stay here and buy land and save or just move on to a bigger house? The perfect thing would be... move to a bigger house AND buy that land and save.. but thats not really possible right now.. What i was i even thinking in the first place to get a small house when i've always wanted 4 kids!?!?! STUPID!! Obviously i was in a hurry to move in our own house.. Now i'm sorry that I did that...... Hope someone learns a lesson from me!

One year anniversary

Its coming up!! :) I think we had a great one year together.. I was pregnant for the most part and sick pretty much right after we got married, i was sick for 10+ days and Alex took care of everything, i was impressed by the way he handled everything, unfortunately he had to work so I had to take care of Carson(while he felt soo heavy as i had NO energy) while he was at work, I'll never forget that! I cant recall of a time when Alex and I got into it.. We do bicker here(don't they all?) and there but its nothing big at all.. I'm proud of us for getting along better than we ever have before!! I hope to keep that up! Last night, Alex brought up a few things we could do for our anniversary and they do involve leaving Carson home with a sitter...... I don't think i can do this again.. I wanted to go to Branson, MO with the kids but Alex is not up for that trip right now, i understand why.. So i may have to tell Alex that we can have a weekend getaway without kids when they are older.. well that is if i get to take a big break from having kids right now.. I like to say, i'm done for right now.. give me about 4 years for another one! :) of course if someone gets pregnant or has a newborn in their arms, i'm gonna be jealous and have the baby fevers but i'll be able to handle it! I think i did a great job between Carson and Kylie!! theres a little less than 3 years between them! Perfect age gap for me!
So anyway while i've went off subject a few times here and there, my point for this post was... Anyone have ideas of what Alex and I can do for our anniversary??

Hair-Do

I'm wanting to get a haircut but want to keep my length, its just right above the shoulder right now. Wanting a bob cut with bangs... On the pic above, you cant really see much bangs, but i dont want to go too dramatic with the bangs, soooo i think i will just do it a tad bit shorter than hers.. AND I'm far from being a blond(i have my blond moments but color wise, 100% brunette!!) I want your honest opinion! Can you picture BANGS on me... I'm sure most of you have seen me with a bobcut style but with BANGS, i've never done that before!....... Throw in your ideas/thoughts/suggestions! No, i wont change my hair color! :) Thanks!

Carson's birthday

Here comes the cake!!
Hurry up with the birthday song!! I cant wait to blow these candles out!

I'm STILL waiting!! There goes one candleThere goes 2....There goes 3!!!! And then we had cake and it was yummy! Ice cream cake roll in case if you're wondering what that cake is.. I use breyers vanilla ice cream..

it only took ONE sentence........

Been M.I.A for a few days... Sorry to disappoint some of my readers! :) We celebrated Carson's birthday on Tuesday evening.. Just alex, me, kylie and my sister. I made an ice cream cake roll that day and it was one of those days when i was stressed out and my fuse was running short.. unfortunately that had to be on Carson's birthday.. :( But it had a great ending! It was fun watching Carson get all excited about getting a cake with candles on it.. he could hardly wait thru the birthday song to blow the candles out(on the pictures, his hands says it all!!). We have pictures of him blowing his candles out.. he did it one by one.. So cute! I'll post pictures soon!
Last night, I went to bible study and glad I went, I almost didn't go b/c I had cleaned the garage out all afternoon and needed to shower and bathe Kylie before bible study but i made good timing so made it to bible study a little late.. but I came up with an idea of what we should do for bible study, b/c we have a book we are reading but umm... we hardly get to it b/c we talk too much! :) Well actually.. my mother in law had came up with an idea and then i threw in my idea that i have thought about for a while but just never brought it up! that is asking questions(bible study related) when you are struggling about things.. My struggle was.. I wanted to know where God stands at when it comes to personal issues.. It took one sentence that felt like all my questions were answered... God doesn't do bad things to us, its the CHOICES we make.. (it wasn't exactly worded like that, that's in my words..)
I got pregnant with Carson before marriage and I wasn't sure if this was God's plan even though we weren't married and I felt like I disappointed Him and others as well... I do believe that Carson was planned by Him(God does not make mistakes and NO ONE is an accident, maybe for the parents but not in God's eyes!) but still it was a choice that Alex and I made.. We knew we shouldn't be having premarital sex but that's nothing we can change now.. plus, where would we be without Carson!?! He is our BLESSING! If we didn't have Carson, I don't think we would have Kylie either.. (since this is a public blog, i wont get into details about that.. if i feel its right, I'll post a blog about that, but right now, i don't have that much time to blog about it) Carson and Kylie are our blessings! I've never had so much faith in God til AFTER I had Carson. Carson is the reason why I became a strong believer in God, sure I always believed in God but it wasn't enough! I try to live in God's way... (unassisted childbirth(with God as my "doctor".. *drawing a blank on a better word*), avoid unclean meat, homeopathy lifestyle, etc) I thank Him for my kids and my future kids if we continue to be blessed with more kids! And thank you Alex for helping me create Carson and Kylie.. ;)

weekend adventure..

We went to the zoo and met Diego.. the highlight of our zoo trip!! Carson went to Grandma Lisa's after the zoo while Alex and I(and Kylie!) went out to eat, and birthday shopping for Carson, while Carson was with grandma, they went to Menards and grandma got him a sandbox!! So Sunday we got that set up and Carson loved it.. which i will have pics of that later as those pictures are on a different camera card that i havent uploaded on here yet.. been a busy day! Carson is going to be 3 tomorrow!! (Tuesday)...... That feels weird as I still call him my baby boy.. he'll always be my baby boy, carson claims he's not a baby boy anymore but to me he is... :)

Carson and Kylie

Carson is my blond haired kid... Kylie, believe it or not, is my red headed baby.. Thought I'd shard this as they somewhat look alike. Kylie does remind me of Carson at times. :) By the way, Kylie is 2 months old now! The pic below is one of her 2 month old picture. On the 12th, she weighed in at 12lbs 9oz!! 2 weeks before that, she was 11lbs 9oz.. She is doing awesome!!

He makes me laugh..........

Doing the Steve Urkel style... I have no idea where he got this from, but he knows it makes me laugh so maybe that's why he does that?

After he's done in the bathroom, sometimes he'll come out hopping with his undies and pants down at his ankles.. :)

This is what happens when you have a big brother, putting random stuff on baby's head while baby is sleeping...

He usually knows how to make my day!! He'll be 3 on the 23rd of Sept. Time flies and its been a great 3 years!! He's our pride and joy!! AND Kylie too!!
