He makes me laugh..........

Doing the Steve Urkel style... I have no idea where he got this from, but he knows it makes me laugh so maybe that's why he does that?

After he's done in the bathroom, sometimes he'll come out hopping with his undies and pants down at his ankles.. :)

This is what happens when you have a big brother, putting random stuff on baby's head while baby is sleeping...

He usually knows how to make my day!! He'll be 3 on the 23rd of Sept. Time flies and its been a great 3 years!! He's our pride and joy!! AND Kylie too!!

Preschool time at home..

We started our first homeschooling lesson on Friday!(I've been trying to get the video to load since Friday, I'll just have to try it again!) Hopefully he will enjoy what i have in mind for fun learning activities.. I also want him to enjoy learning like his dad.. I sure hated school myself so I'm praying my kids will be the opposite.. I'm sure there's a huge difference with public school and homeschooling.. I will find out soon.. I have fun thinking of new ideas of what to do with Carson to keep it fun! I will have to print off a planner/calendar sheet for myself to train myself to be consistent.. might be a good idea to start that NOW as its something I'm struggling with.. i AM getting better at that! I'm also getting better at not worrying about what needs to be done around the house.. there's ALWAYS going to be something that needs to be done in the house(dishes,laundry,tidy-up,etc)..
I also use sign language with him when learning new stuff.. its almost doing like 4 things on one thing.. colors, sign language, naming the object and shapes if it applies.. Does that even make sense?

Monkey Dance and Kylies short video clip

I was hoping to get Kylie smiling some more but the internal memory on camera ran out of space.. I will try my best to catch my children milestone without them realizing I'm videotaping them. Carson knows the camera and doesn't always act the same.. For example, i tried getting the monkey dance and then he did the weird noise and hand movement at the end of monkey dance.. at least we got the beginning of it! I'm going to have to capture more funny stuff on camera so i can watch it when I'm old and kids are out house.. Making a "Blast From The Past" video album for kids and I so my grandkids can watch their silly dad/mom.. That stuff is important to me!! My mom has tons of video of my sister and I and I enjoy watching them when I can.. There are some things that I've watched of myself that Carson does.. :)

Being a mom=lots of scraficing

The title almost explains it all in one short sentence.. Why am i saying this? Well yesterday while loading the dishwasher, i realized that I've sacrificed(with joy) a lot ever since I became a mom. I was invited to a bachelorettes party, its an overnight party at a hotel in DSM, now this would be really fun to go to but i wont be going for a few reasons, one I'm nursing kylie, I refuse to pump bottles for her and 2-i cant even handle staying away from my kids overnight.. done that with carson and wont do it again til I'm emotionally ready for it..
Before I became a mom, i was really looking forward to my 21st birthday b/c I'll be legal to drink and go to bars.. I remember telling ppl, i cant wait til i turn 21... well 21 came and it was just another number... Nothing exciting at all.. Alex, Carson and I actually all had the flu.. :) I still have not been to a bar and have no desire to go to one.. I'd just prefer to stay at home with my children than go to bars or partying. Some moms are able to do this on a every weekend basis or even during the weeks, i'm not sure how they can do it?? I promise to keep this a clean blog, I wont get ugly on this, it is something that bothers me a lot but...... someday i hope they realize how much they've missed out while their kids were growing up..
This morning i read a disturbing blog about a mom that killed herself and left behind a little girl.. My heart goes out to this little girl and the family. Something must have been really bothering her to be able to do that.. I literally get tears in my eyes when i wonder if anything will ever happen to me, being killed in a car accident or something like that(no i would NEVER kill myself if that even crossed your mind) and leaving my kids behind on earth.. Who is going to take care of them? I know Alex is capable of doing that but its MY job to take care of my kids and Alex be our financial supporter.. Its hard.. extremely hard on me.. I know that Heaven is a much better place, I often wonder what Heaven is like.. but I want to wait til my kids are on their own, I want them to be who I raised/want them to be.. That is something completely out of my control. I am trusting the Lord that he knows what he is doing and that my kids will be well taken care of and surrounded by lots of love.. That is IF that happened to me.. I really hope not!
I often ask myself, how do i want to be remembered as a mom.. my answer is.. i want to be remembered as a fun mom, i want them to have great childhood memories, i want to be remembered as a devoted mom... i want them to have a great relationship with God, this is something i will have to teach them and set an example for them too as well.. And I also want to be my children best friend!!
ok, moral of the story.. being a mom is a precious job, make the best of it!

i <3 (heart) Craigslist!!

I finally found a double stroller(after a good 2-3 months of searching around) that meets my qualification! (good shape, no stains, newer, name brand...yes i'm picky) Its an Eddie Bauer stroller that the front of seat is reversible(facing me)! how awesome! We are definitely getting a deal on it!! :D From what I've found online, it sells anywhere from $180 to $250.. WE are buying it for $75.. :) Getting it on Sunday.. Time to shed the pounds off!!! Many post ago, i mentioned that everyone should check craigslist before going out paying full price....... you really should do that.. (with the exception of stuff that you wouldnt want to buy used..) Its not that i'm a cheap person, I just love to get good deals on stuff...
ALSO, another reason why i love craigslist.... well... I sold my dads camper the next day i posted on there.. AND same for my cloth diapers i made(yes, after all that nagging and time it took). I sold it on Craigslist the same day posting it on there. I am making different ones right now, well.. working on creating a new pattern and almost done with the one i started on today and will be testing it out on Kylie and see how i like it..
again... I HEART CRAIGSLIST!!! Thought i'd let you know that!!!

over a week??

i didn't know it took me this long to get back to blogging.. sorry if i disappoint some of you guys.. i have been extra busy over the past week and a half.. and tired at times on top of that.. I've had computer time but just been doing other stuff on the computer over blogging. Well not sure what exactly to blog about??? Kylie is getting so big already! I'm sad that she is out of the newborn stage.. she actually grew out of that FAST! I weighed her the 29th and she was 11lbs 9oz!!! She is awake more often now and at longer periods of time but still likes to sleep on and off during day time, does good at night time, cant complain about that!
Carson has made me laugh a lot lately.. He has some of his words mixed up.. for example... Mommy, i'm full...I want cheesecake... (puts his hand on belly and wants more food..) He is actually trying to tell me he's hungry.. :)
Mommy, turn it down!!! (theres no volume on the tv... ) So i've been working on getting him to switch his words around.. but its so cute!!
He loves to make me laugh by doing silly things.. Last night, he walked up to me after putting his pj's on and pulled his pants way up past his belly button(steve urkel style)..
We've went to the school's playground up the road a few time this past week, he surprised me by how good he does on the monkey bars, with me right under him holding him of course but he'll be a pro one of these days..
ok recipes as i said on the last post i'd post a recipe... Last night i tried something new as i was trying to think what to make with turkey sausage..(the only thing i had thawed out).. I guess i'll call it.. pizza lasagna.. I layered it by using.. organic soft shells, pizza sauce, turkey sausage and cheese and repeat layer.. throw in oven at 350° till whenever cheese melts.. it wasnt bad at all... I'm not a creative cook so this is probably the only recipe you'll get from me that i came up with.. (i'm sure someone has already done something like this.. ) I wanted to post a cookie recipe but i cant find it anywhere online but its on the back of the milk chocolate ghirardelli chocolate chip bag... the only thing i do differently is put the dough in the fridge overnight.. Its super soft cookies!! my favorite choc chip cookies..
