Saturday

Well it started out with a grouchy morning and i'm talking 4am.. Carson went to sleep around 5pm yesterday, i assume it was going to be a nap, nope, he was in bed for the rest of the night.. I even tried waking him up a few times for supper and to get up but he wouldn't... I figured it must be a growth spurt moment. BUT as a result of going to bed so early, that means trying to wake me up at 4 am and so on after that. UGH! Now, if a baby woke me up to nurse, thats different! I'm fine now, but i sure hate being disturbed in my sleep.. :) I ended up turning the tv on for him in the bedroom and got him water and he was good then.. He did fall back to sleep..
Well.. Alex is playing in a golf tournament and I'm not sure what i'm going to do.. I am doing some wart(i know, yuck) treatment with vinegar on my left foot so it kinda hurts to walk on it so I may not do a whole lot today even tho i feel like being productive today. Maybe I'll do diapers. I discovered that sewing the elastic on is not that bad BUT sewing the other half of elastic(fold) on the other side of diaper is a pain in the butt! So maybe i'll just sew elastic on and then once thats done, go back to sewing other sides on.. that does sound confusing! I will be glad to get them all done! Thats a huge part of my to-do list.. by the way.. today is 34 weeks along!! that means... 3 weeks till full term!! AHHHH I'm on a mission to get everything done! I may have to just paint the rooms myself.. Alex is busy as is.. except for parts when he goes work out with his friend, go to golf tournaments, movies.... so on... hmm maybe i should switch spots with him right?? Nah, I'd rather be with Carson although a break is nice once in a while! Went to a friends house Wed. night and stayed there til 1:30am. That reminded me of my high school days.. lol Ok, off to get carson and I ready for the day to do i dont even know yet.. Maybe we'll go mow my mom and dads lot with a RIDING lawn mower.. we'll see! No $$ to buy paint today or i'd do that.. I could at least tape up the trim and edges..

diapers

I'm back into the routine of doing/sewing diapers again. I quit for a while b/c i was getting frustrated with my sewing machine. Its been going smoothly this time.. Did a few adjustments to the machine and it made a world of a difference! I have 11 medium diapers ready for the elastic, the worst part of all. I am doing 30 mediums and 30 larges, imagine how busy that keeps me.. I've added how much I've spent on diapers so far... as of today it is.. $145.02 and still have about 10 yards of flannel to buy, hopefully thats it! It does sound pricey BUT its still cheaper than buying disposable diapers. I calculated that its about $360 a year on diapers for Carson AND that is buying the cheap Target brand.. Thats the only brand i can do.. the only kind I've discovered that doesn't have a diaper smell to it when it gets wet, that smell bothers me with those other brands of diapers.. SOOO in the long run, we are saving money AND going "green"! Since I've been talking about diapers, i should get back on them while Carson taking a nap. He had a day with 2 of our cousins, they are great help around here! Keeping Carson entertained while i do stuff plus the older cousin has been helping me too as well.. Thank God that school is out for them! lol

Children will lie at one time or another. The question is not if they will, but whether or not lying will become something they believe they can get away with. If we don't teach our children what God says about lying, they wont know why its wrong. If we don't pray about this issue now, there will be bigger issues to deal with later.

So happy!!

My dad has been wanting to sell his camper for a while. He is going thru some financial burdens right now so getting rid of the camper would be a good way to help him out. I called him sometime last week and told him that i found a website that we can post the camper on. Craigslist that is.. So Monday he called me and asked me to put a posting on there and i finally did that yesterday.. Yes, thats how tired i get at night time. SOOO yesterday, i finally put it on there and had 5 ppl emailing me about it! One was a very ambitious potential buyer as he emailed me a few times asking for my number and said he can come TODAY and possibly BUY IT TODAY. Praise God!! He bought it! Dad is out of state right now on a business trip so it was me dealing with the camper. I wanted to get it nice and clean but didn't even have the chance to since the guy showed up RIGHT when i was getting ready to leave the camper to pick up Alex from work. Thankfully, I had at least wiped the counter top down. Wasn't the greatest but at least it was emptied out and wiped up.. BTW, this guy had my dads phone number as i gave it to him on an email so thats how he found us. Alex came to the rescue at the end as he made a copy of the title and a bill of sale for this guy to get a loan for it. He already gave us half the amt in cash. I'm thankful that my dad will be coming home to some extra money as he needs it to help himself out.. He's been struggling for the past year. So glad Musco hired him, that was a relief too as well for all of us! He was self-employed for a while and that went down-hill and out of business. Praise God for sticking with dad thru his struggles. I always told him it'll get better! Looks like its the beginning of a positive outlook.... Again, thank the Lord! Ok gotta go!

Hat Space

I just got done creating a hat space area in the coat/game closet. Very simple!! AND cheap! I used velcro and wooden clothespins. I thought about using hot glue but didn't want to ruin the door as we don't plan on staying here forever. So if you have an issue with hats laying around in your house.. here you go! No, its not patented so feel free to steal my idea.. :) Just don't let Martha Stewart see it.. :P She doesn't need any more $$$..

Sorry its sideway. Not sure how to fix that..

Finally...

I'm back! Guess i didn't know i was THAT busy or too tired to post a blog during evening time. I've been going to bed with Carson lately, so theres a big reason why I haven't blogged lately. I'm glad Alex is feeling productive this weekend. It means our list to do is getting closer to being done! He is also wanting to help a friend put siding on his house so i think he's on a mission as well. Sounds like the siding job will start sometime in June.. I just hope they get it done before baby arrives. I should get off this and do something but I'll blog for now. We have a family reunion today at 12, which i didn't know about till Friday... so that kinda shift my plans around a lil bit but hopefully I can get the stuff done this afternoon that I had planned to do.. More like doing stuff for my mom and dad afternoon, since they asked me to do a few things for them. I guess we are going to paint this room (C room) next.. This one will be a fun project since its Carson's play room and computer room and I have neat ideas for in here.
Baby was very active all day yesterday and doing some funky moves in the belly. I still think its laying sideways(rib to rib) as i feel all the movements on the sides and sometimes on top of belly. I still cant figure where the head is... sad huh? I'll wait till its VERY tight in there to figure out whats what.. I feel like I need to get my birth kit ready SOON for just in case. I hope i don't go too early! Its all in Gods hand.. Either way, He'll be taking good care of us.. (regardless of what Grandma says *rolls eyes*) I wish people would see things in God's eyes, not through the eyes of people here on earth, that means, putting their TRUST in God, not random people we barely know. Ok enough said, I shall log off and get Carson and I ready for the day..

The biggest part of helping my son and daughter understand who God created them to be is encouraging their relationship with the Lord. I know they will never fully understand who they are until they understand who God is.

Mother Nature

Last night I fell asleep while laying Carson down for bed. I woke up around 11ish and had noticed the windows were shut so I assume that Alex was home from hanging out with my sister's boyfriend. Back to sleep I go.. Maybe 15 to 30 mins later, Alex turned the hallway light on, I yelled to him to shut the light off and he came in and i repeat, shut the light off and he gives me a hand signal of what looked like the tornado sign language. I freaked out and held Carson by the leg, just to keep him by me as I seriously thought there was a tornado. I had knew that it was storming out as i could see and feel it during my sleep. After seeing that hand signal from Alex, i said my prayers asking Him for extra protection as I didn't know what to do if there was a tornado, we don't have a basement and Carson is in just his diaper. It was humid that night so didn't want him to sleep uncomfortable by sweating in bed. I didn't have my C.I. on so I wasn't exactly sure what he was trying to tell me with his hands but I did catch the part when he was telling me that its REALLY windy out and that the car was shaking when driving home. Many thoughts was running through my mind at that time, I was thinking.. i need to go grab the sling to keep Carson near me, should i go grab the pictures?, should we sit in the shower?, that typical disastrous stuff that runs through your mind. Thankfully, nothing happened, although 2 roads in front of us is a mess.. (3rd ave east) Theres a huge pine tree was was ripped out of the ground by its roots. (Too bad it wasn't our ugly pine tree.) Big tree branches on houses, shingles ripped off of the roof, greenhouse is missing its top in some areas and walls are knocked down.. So maybe there was a tornado? or just the super powerful wind did it.. But either way, I'm very thankful that God took care of us. Its amazing how Mother Nature can scare us but still feel comfort at the same time from God.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." ~Psalm 91:1-2
